Another Z car joins the family

My oldest son just rolled up in front of the house...

35th Anniversary
Brembos, Bose, and black leather...

She's 100% stock and in mint condition with only 25,000 miles on the odo.

My grandson promptly named it Bumblebee...



Pretty cool -- we have enough Z cars for the whole family to do our own Z car cruises.

I'm not sure what he plans. As a collector car, it's worth more leaving it stock -- the 35th anniversary edition is somewhat rare. He did ask me if my extra set of NISMO headers would fit (they will), so I think he might run the headers. They'll change the exhaust note a little and give him a few more ponies. I imagine he'll add the Motordyne plenum spacer since he knows the problem with the stock plenum (1&2 rich; 5&6 lean).

Still no word on the GT-R. I'm still expecting it in the first quarter of '09. We should get some word next month.

It's going to be tough on the next SA Z car show coming up in April -- show prepping three Z cars and a GT-R (maybe). I might have to recruit some prep assistants and drivers from the extended family (I have two nephews who have show prep experience). Last year we put three cars in the show and took home three trophies.

:p i'd def get another set of rims for events whether show or track.. he could always swap out for the stock rims in half an hour to remain 'stock' collector form.
