Geico sucks!!! Warning---rant coming

Okay, so I realize Geico has literally been taking me for a ride. I called Geico to put the G on the policy and up my coverage. The best quote they can get me with really good coverage, a spotless driving record of 20 years (not even one ticket folks), and good credit, they tell me the best they can do is $160 a month for both cars for collision, comprehensive, and a few other bells and whistles. So I contacted Allstate who I have a flood policy with (my homeowners is St. John's but they don't write for auto so I can use them) and they offer me even better coverage, full replacement cost of the cars if they are hit, collision, comprehensive, and so forth and the bill drops to about $110.00 a month. You tell me what is Geico trying to pull. The next time I see a Gecco on my porch it better run for the hills.

Anybody else given crappy rates by Geico. They ought to be ashamed of themselves. Low rates my a$$.

i USED to have geico.. noone could beat their prices, even progressive and their checks on other companies.

UNTIL i totaled the Z

now, allstate has the best rate for me.

I think geico was cheap for me because i was insured with them for years and years.

We've used Amica for a long time, good to work with in case of an accident (vs. Geico).

Had 3 so far..
1. My wife was T-boned in a parking lot (low speed but lots of damage to the minivan). We took it to a local body shop for them to fix. They were welding in a new panel and somehow caught the headliner on fire. Totalled.

2. Had a guy make a right-hand turn from the left lane into the front corner of my Maxima.

3. Rear-ended a Mazda 3 during a mult-car accident on the interstate.

Came through all three with no rate increases from Amica.

Maybe you talked to a new geico person who didn't know what they were doing. I dunno, maybe you should call again!! Does geico price match? lol

USAA is who i started with when i first joined... till Geico beat them. lol

ill have to check out this AMICA. never heard of them before.

I have USAA for my auto, homeowners and I think I have flood form them too. My auto rate is not too bad but it seams like my home owners keeps going up it might be time for me to start shopping around.

i have statefarm and i like them.hell they paid for my jwt700bb's so i better like them:D

now thats awesome. I need to start shopping around i have a perfect record and just turned 25 and ive got one vehicle and im paying about 100 bucks a month which i think is crap. but i could be wrong, any suggestions?

Amy I did let Geico know about Allstate's rate, but they weren't willing to beat it. Besides, I know my Allstate insurance people on a first name basis so I'm happier dealing with them.


Cherry, I heard Amica is awesome, just hard to get. As for USAA I had them when my ex-bf and I lived together because he was military. Once we split they wouldn't allow me to keep the insurance since it was through his military connection.
