1986 300zx... need advice!

So there is a guy that lives a few minutes away from me with an 1986 or '87 z.. He said he would sell it for $300.00

The motor works, it has a basically perfect interior, the only problem is it has all flat tires...

If I was to buy it I would part it out completely...

so the question is: Should I do it??

if you dont i will find it and scoop it for resale!

why part it out? if it has a good interior it dosent matter how the outside looks....

its how you look on the inside that matters...

Well, if it's in good shape, you could likely fetch some decent income from the parts right?? I guess if it will provide you with some decent funds for your Z it's a good idea if you have the patience to sell the parts. Would you sell them on Ebay?? Just curious how you'd do it. Well, if you think you can make at least double your money, I'd say do it. Let us know how it goes.

I would think you could make a few hundred or so flipping it. Parting it out may not work as well. Just make sure you don't get too vested in it. I think with bad paint, you are looking at around $1500. So, with tax, title, tires and a few "uh-oh's" included, you should be able to keep the total under $1000. That would yield anywhere from $200 to $500 profit.

Wow, never thought of flipping it, but it does make sense.

got body rust and no ecu. its got a good motor, electronics, MAF (id think), and other misc. parts including the interior. Fuck turning it around, its a POS in reality.

Rust is the deal breaker...It's part-out or nothing. Not sure how much demand for this year's parts are out there. I would think you could make the $300 back. You would have to find someone local to take motor or trans...
