(sorry, lazy and tired.. copied from one of my bike forums
For those that dont know, i've 'downgraded' about 2 year ago off my immacualte 06 GSXR 750 that i rode thru Deals gap, drag strips etc..
anyway the custom SV650 has been a slow work, and i have been dying to get my lean on again.
FINALLY yesterday and today i was blessed to get PAID while carving!!
The USMC has hired the california superbike guys (Keith Code) to teach us a thing or two.. or three.. about our bikes.
4 15 min sessions yesterday,+ 3 slightly longer runs today + a BUNCH of riders that sat on bikes greatly exceeding their skills =
one VERY happy experienced lil SV rider.
2001 SV650 w/ minor bolt ons vs. the competition
starting in my group dead last-
but not there for long at all
newer SV 1000 down.. preying on GSXR 600

ORANGE. the new color of speed
there were a few camera guys out there taking MUCH better shots. waiting for them to upload and host. But a few said they did see my pucks shooting sparks
The brief classes they gave and the instruction out on the track has helped me get back in the game and definitely instilled more confidence in the SV and the old diablo STRADAS i was whippin on the youngins with.
2 days, no downs. Too many passes to count, NO passes made on me.
what a great way to finish my week.
Thanks to Cali SB and the USMC for hosting the event!!!!!!!!
REALLY looking fwd to the dragon and VIR now!
more pics to come some as i get em.
