That's right I wanna see those before and after pictures of your Z's. This way the members can see first hand the amount or work that has been put into up keeping these wonderfully beautiful cars.

oh. this one is going to be pretty extreme lol....

the way and day i bought it out of the hands of a idaho potato farm boys hands w@ 60k miles. performance completely stock, just the wing, bling and audio system modified.

dirt fields will do this to an engine bay -.-

still the same, just completely cleaned up for my first show


switching up to Axis touring cups, a VIS invader hood, clear corners.. some dress up in the engine bay to go with the KN filter.

to stuff it with one of the first Apollo FMIC's on the road (@2002)


about the same time i was rearended and went in for surgery..
grafting off the wing/wiper/antenna and moulding in the MR@ tails to sit above the HKS style exhaust.



found the perfect rims to show off the brembo slotted&drilled set


i rode that setup for a while cleaning up the show circuit in 04 with 1st place trophies everywhere i went, including a best of show.......

after claiming a best of show in '04 the need for more speed came about with a full Z1 build to double the HP of the car and improve ALL other aspects of performance as well.
NA rearend, tein flex coils with EDFC, 1pc drive shaft, completely adj susp components

nothing was left untouched in the eng bay.. too many mods to list

of course the interior was done up to match


returning from iraq to a 'new car' was quite the experience, but wasnt w/o hiccups. i had to take it back for mechanical issues.. and it just never really ran like it should :-/
still i managed to flog the car down the highway, at drift and drag events and also hitting VIR for some high speed road course action.

Wow great pics and impressive changes/mods everyone.

the 2nd session of the 2nd day at VIR.. the cold morning and early adrenalin to catch up to cars ahead got me into trouble...


it was totaled by insurance.. but luckily covered!! and of course i set out to rebuild better than before once again...

after nearly a year with the bodyshop and yet the third Iraq tour down..





the Z is finally back in my hands and sits like THIS today-

Steve, the air foils? Like the ones found on the EVO IX. I forget the purpose of them but the fender flares sure look suckulant!

Here are some before & after pics I was able to find!

you got it chris, just like on the Evo... those 'spikes' are vortex generators.

Also like on aircraft, they help direct, smooth and speed the flow of wind going over the car, so there is less turbulence coming off the rear.

Since i dont have a wing (yet?) i figured they would help a little bit. Plus i wanted a slight update/change to the look of the car for '08

The rear tray diffuser is up next underneath the car...

i bought my Z with a blown sixth cylinder, so she was way dirty from cali rain and dust and whatnot. so i got her cleaned up and running, then spun a rod bearing in the sixth again, and she got put away in the garage for about a year. i just pulled her out and this is what she looked like...



then i got wheels 18 in deep dish's and she looked like this



then i wrecked into a curb destroying those wheels, so i went with stock tt wheels painted black, and some adjustable tension rods in the front to replace my broken ones



then the black on black was to much, so i got a nismo stripe for the side to add some color and got my chromie TT wheels on, and this is her going into the shop for my most resent engine rebuild

After my next few modifications get put on and painted and such pics will come.

You dont think I want this done ASAP! I hate my Z as of now.... Its wicked awesome for an NA but I need boost, and get the Z looking right to pick up the slack on my own personal appearance!

Should be expecting nose panel, front bumper, and fresh Cobalt Green Pearl paint installed in 3-weeks, OEM 16" wheels painted bronze as soon as I get my tires. Smoked corners, and tails, black 3rd brake light. With my previous mods I will be a decently nice NA, and hopefully by winter I will be boosting around 550-650whp, depending on which setup I go with.
