Okay girl's no laughing....i mean it!

So I went to a 4th of July party tonight with my half sis, my mom, her mom, and some friends and my sister ended up talking me into this.

Okay here it is..no laughing...lol.

I'm going to be in a Pin-up girl pageant.....lol funny huh...lol
Anyhow it's this month on the 18th so I don't have much time to get ready.

The pageant is conducted in three parts

Part one: modeling of vintage favorite pin-up outfit
Part two: Vintage/ Vintage inspired swimsuit
Part three: cheesy 50's talent competition (example: sexy vacuuming, baton twirling, hula hooping, etc.

Winner is chosen for period correctness of their look, style, charisma, and creativity, and 50's kitchiness of their chosen talent

Sooo it looks like it's gonna be fun...or odd for that matter...I'll try to get some pictures.

I'm not laughing, I think it's a hoot!!!! It sounds like you are going to have a lot of fun. The point is you get to poke fun at an Era gone by. Yes, show us lots of pics, we can give you pointers and so forth. This should be great fun and I hope you win. Can you call yourself Ms. Z Enthusiast or something like that. That would be too cool for words.

I was thinking of the name fairlady Z...lol. But i don't know yet. Im trying to think of something mechanic wise i can do for the talent. My mom's gonna take pictures...lol

So...what happened?

Oh sorry I forgot to give you all an update...lol...well it was interesting to say the least. I ended up in the top 5 but didn't get into the top three. It was fun though...My name was Fairlady Z...lol. Anyhow my sis has some pics but she didn't get them uploaded yet. For my talent I ended up being a mechanic in heels...lol I made a car out of cardboard and airbrushed it to look like an old willie coupe. I made all the car sounds and made it so I was working on the car. I even had grease in a pocket i made in the cardboard so i got grease on me as I worked on the car. The croud loved it. I had fun with it. I'll see if I can get some pics from some other people.
